Introduction:

  • Malaria is a parasitic disease transmitted to humans through the bite of four species of female Anopheles mosquitoe, Plasmodium falciparum, P. vivax, P. Ovale, and P. Malariae.
  • It is preventable and curable.
  • In 2020, there were an estimated 241 million cases of malaria worldwide.
  • The Africa and south east Asia carries a disproportionately high share of the global malaria burden.
  • Malaria is a serious parasitic disease characterized by fever, chills and anemia.

Intended Use:

  • Test for qualitative detection of ChikungunyaIgG/IgM in human serum, plasma and whole blood samples.
  • pLDH (Plasmodium Lactate Dehydrogenase) and HRP2 (Histidine Rich Protein 2) are the important markers for diagnosis of Malaria infections.
  • pLDH and HRP2 both are used as antigen based diagnosis of Malaria infections and we use antibodies against these markers in our products for detecting these antigens in Human whole Blood.
